I bought these numbers to put on a mailbox that I have been repainting and refurbishing. Unfortunately, the instructions state that the new paint has to dry for eight weeks before the numbers are applied. I would not have bought them if I had known about them. However, I didn't want to send them back and start over so I've used them and just have to see how long they last. I found the directions confusing. They were clearly written by someone who didn't quite speak English. In the end I figured it out myself, which wasn't difficult. The numbers themselves are fine and stand out well against my black inbox. Also note that if your surface has a lot of texture, these numbers won't stick as advertised.
