Review on πŸ–οΈ Crayola Tri-Shade Colored Pencils with Decorative Tin: 12ct Gift Set for Vibrant Artwork by Sasha Hsiao

Great Crayola product.

Just received. I have the Koh-i-noor Tri Color and some of their Magic FX crayons. Koh I noor is oil based, Crayola is wax based. I prefer an oil base, but that doesn't mean they're any better than wax. I also have a Prismacolor Premiere 150 kit and a few smaller custom kits. I'm disappointed in the split. There's just no feeling I prefer. I thought the signature meant a little better quality but my mistake it means their standard product. I bet I've had many Crayola sets over the years and found a few lines that suit my tastes well. I ordered these to try and get some extra tricolors to add to my already tricolor arsenal. They are suitable for that. However, 2 or 3 colors have very small color deviations. If you like Crayola products I would recommend trying the set. They bring fun and variety to your coloring pages. Given that a 12-pack is almost $15 for the Crayola Tri Color and almost $27 for the 24 Koh I Noor, Revain is about the same in terms of value. These are not your old Crayola crayons with a small gamut. They have enough pigment for good color rendering. Remember that reviews are subjective. One person's bad review can be another person's great product review. I think most people who are used to working with Crayola will be very satisfied.

Pros
  • Crafts and sewing
Cons
  • Cord shorter than others

Unfortunately these aren't tri colored but marbled so it's impossible to control the color.
