This device has it all!

High tech verification tests aside, my use of this device has been very positive in terms of functionality. The only downside (below) does not affect the functionality of the device. ADVANTAGES: ==========- Allows you to use obviously 7 USB ports where your PC probably doesn't have many built in. These additional ports can be conveniently placed on a tabletop, eliminating the need to reach (or behind) your computer to connect dynamic devices such as cameras and cell phones. Simultaneous support for USB 1.1 and 2.0 speeds. In other words, USB 2.0 devices will not slow down just because you plug in a slower/older USB 1.1 device. - Works with or without a power cord. - When using a power cord, this unit charges USB devices even if they are not connected to a PC. My daughter would like another one in her room just for this purpose. - Small enough to put in a laptop bag (although I don't use it that way). - Great price for all these features. ===- The physical device is light. If it were huge and heavy (like a TV or computer), you could connect the USB cables with one hand. If you do not screw this device, you need two hands. Also, it won't stay in place and could tip or tip over if you pull or twist attached cables.
