Our Miniature Dachshund is 10 years old and is on bed rest due to a spinal injury. She hated the kennel for being closed, but she didn't seem to mind the "puppy playpen" we call it. It's big enough for her medium sized "Sheri's BFFs" bed, a plate of food and a bowl of water, and a few toys. She doesn't have a lot of hanging space, her bed takes up most of the space, but that's exactly what we wanted! Very easy to assemble, the plastic is durable. I don't think it will hold a large dog or a very active puppy because then the dog could potentially push the playpen (it doesn't weigh much and isn't secured) or knock it over.
