This is a good circlip pliers set, especially when working in tight spaces. I needed to replace a missing (probably broken) snap ring holding the steering gear on an old Murray mower and these snap ring pliers were the perfect solution for the job. I originally purchased IRWIN VISE-GRIP Convertible Snap Pliers with interchangeable tips, but the 90 degree tips are too large to fit a 9/16" locking ring. These circlip pliers have graduated tips meaning they will fit almost any size circlip, no one size fits all, some or no tips. While they may not be suitable for heavy duty work, they are suitable for most jobs, including those where the retaining ring is in a tight space.
