We love these shorts. My son has trouble buttoning and unbuttoning traditional buttons. He is also required to wear pants with belt loops to school (and also wear a belt). This is an absolutely perfect pair of shorts that will allow him to be independent at school while maintaining the integrity of the school uniform dress code. He can easily put them on and take them off by putting on the Velcro. The shorts are also easy to wash and the creases are ironed out in the dryer so you don't need to iron them unless you really want them starched to perfection. Highly recommended.
