manufacturing defect? Best Punch

After less than 2 weeks of use the top knot/metal plate just above the spring buckled rendering the punch unusable. My documents came loose because I couldn't even bend the buckle back with pliers. I personally would not recommend this punch. It won't last the promised 30 pages.
