Very cute unisex children's classic shoes. My 3 year old daughter can easily put them on and take them off by herself. At first she didn't like them because she thought they looked like "boys' shoes," but once she tried them on, they became her favorite summer shoes. They don't need to be broken in as they are very soft and we've never had any issues with chafing or blisters. They have a nice thick sole and a supportive inside. I bought her a nicer trendy sandal with more decorations but less support and thinner soles and she always refused to wear them so I know these shoes are comfortable for her. The velcro could be a bit thicker and more efficient, I don't think it's very tight and secure, but the benefit is that the sandal wraps the entire leg including the heel, so the entire leg doesn't slip off easily.
