Nowhere in the description does it say that the screen is polarized. The problem is that they are horizontally polarized, which is the opposite of vertically polarized sunglasses. This means that you cannot use the rear camera or look at the screen while driving because the two opposite polarizations cancel each other out and make the screen black! I will return this camera for another. now for the good news. The camera works great. It's clear and due to the polarized lens, glare is minimal. Directions are pretty good and digging is pretty easy. Installing a backup camera can be a hassle. The controls are a little tricky, but it's nothing you can't master with time. As I am returning this camera due to a polarization issue (can't believe the manufacturer didn't recognize this issue) you need to know that the seller was outstanding in resolving any problem or question. For this reason I am changing my rating from two to four stars. Hey, if you don't have polarized glasses, this camera might be something for you.
