I am a computer engineer and bought this product to use when I call customer service. It's a standalone device, so in theory it would be very useful when I'm out in the field. But this was not the case. The device did not work as advertised. The status lights on the device never showed any hard drive activity. The status lights never stopped blinking, so I never knew if the system had completed the cloning process. The device will buzz to indicate it has completed cloning, but the lights will continue to flash to indicate activity. I left cloning a 1TB hard drive overnight and the device corrupted both disks, the source and destination disks were corrupted. The device was never disconnected from advertisements and never showed that the cloning was complete. I never like writing about products but this was awful and embarrassing.
