m.2 SATA drives are not the most common devices on the market and it is not always easy to find one at a reasonable price . While they're more expensive than full-size 2.5-inch SATA drives, they offer no real performance benefit. Regardless of the price difference, this drive behaves as expected. Space for a few VMs on my Linux machine. The drive came in, was recognized, and provided more than enough bandwidth to serve at least two Windows 10 VMs at the same time. Although this is due to the form factor, if I ever needed a different SATA m.2 I would definitely go back and look at this drive again.
