This would be a great creative magnifier. I don't have to use light on it, but it might be nice if you need extra light for detail. I installed it on my computer desk to the right of my elbow. It works the way I hoped it would. If I really need to read fine print that's too small for my glasses, I can drag the thing down and over the topic, read it, and print it out on my computer at the same time. It works as expected and I am completely satisfied with this product. It also clips easily to the edge of my desk and stays secure no matter how I tug on it. Really sweet!
