Not ready for use on the day of receipt!
Slightly disappointed but I should have guessed from the pictures/notes. If you purchase other pipe decoration items, they will be finished in gloss black and ready to hang on the wall. This particular item (yes, they admit it) is actually pewter gray and oiled. To paint this you must first remove the oil and paint it, then hang it on the wall/door etc. This is frustrating because now I'll be postponing this until the weather is good enough to paint here.
