get stuck in the down position and don't loosen the wheelbarrow bed. But it's not really solid and doesn't need to be lubricated. What happens is that the weight of the wheelbarrow pulls the bottom of the bracket forward towards the installed bracket so the bracket catches on it and cannot be lifted. A simple fix is to move the wheelbarrow's handles slightly forward so the weight of the wheelbarrow doesn't press down on the movable arm, allowing it to move up and reveal the wheelbarrow platform. Yes, it's that simple, except for me and others here who had the same problem. More detailed instructions might have prevented this apparent problem for us non-mechanics.
