I used this to peel, core and slice apples (16) to make homemade applesauce. After the first pair of apples, as shown in the photos, one of the black pieces came out of the hole, and after a few apples, another black piece came out of the other hole, and they cannot be returned there. sure where they need to be to keep the shaft safe to run smoothly. Now the shaft arm moves too freely and tries to get the job done. I couldn't even use the device to the last apple :-(. I plan to return it. The suction power is excellent.
