Don't think you'll never need them
Just what I need for my solar system. I've never used them since running the series but I've added some panels and am now doing a 2s 2p setup. I wanted to attach the panel system before the charge controller switch at the end of the line. This prevents one row from feeding back into another row that should be shorted.
