Review on Ikea 601 486 78 Tokig Salad Spinner by Donnie King

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Does the job for kitchen and dining room

I've been using this salad spinner for about a year. It shows no major signs of wear, although it was only hand washed. I usually twist it hard enough to keep the spinner in place as the design is fairly lightweight. Lettuce usually needs to be cycled at least twice to remove water, but that seems normal with this type of salad spinner. A few good twists and a swipe of the clear plastic outer bowl keeps my leafy greens crisp for the 4-5 days it can take to eat them. I especially like that the handle is almost "zero" and doesn't extend. beyond the bowl. As a result, it takes up as little space as possible in the fridge and means one less piece that could accidentally break. My only complaint is that I have found on a number of occasions that a very small amount of mold can grow in very narrow strainer bars. Chapter. Because these divisions are so narrow, it's almost impossible to get a sponge/cloth/etc. do a good, thorough "scrub" in between, but I can usually remove it by soaking it in warm, soapy water and scrubbing it well.
