Just connect and scan!
Do not configure, install or configure anything! Just plug in the USB port and start scanning. I've tried commercial barcodes, particularly with ISBN book numbers. Works perfectly. It scans the number and automatically inserts a newline character, creating a list with a number on each line in a text editor such as Word, TextPad, or Notepad. Remember that when scanning to Excel, the cell must be formatted as text for the number to display correctly. This isn't a scanner issue, it's an Excel setting. Excellent value for money and quality!
