Anyone looking for a simple and convenient scanner without drivers and additional software will like it. Just plug in the office, notepad, access or excel spreadsheet and open it to scan the information that has a barcode and is available. I use it to scan hard drives and other devices serial numbers into an inventory excel spreadsheet and it worked fine.

Do not configure, install or configure anything! Just plug in the USB port and start scanning. I've tried commercial barcodes, particularly with ISBN book numbers. Works perfectly. I am buying this scanner for work. I first contacted our technical support to see if this scanner met my needs. you said yes This works for most barcodes, but there's about 10% when I scan barcodes (which are 6-digit numbers starting with 6) that are filled with a 10-digit number starting with 2. For that 10% I have to enter the number manually which defeats the purpose. I have no idea if there is tech support as there was no information in the box. Not sure about battery life?
