Review on 🔥 Grey 6462 Lasko Heating Space Heater, 25-inch by Angela Mason

Our home has radiant heat in the ceiling, with separate units in each room. We never used it (lived here less than a year) because the neighbors who have the same heating say it's too expensive to run. Given this limitation and the fact that SoCal sometimes drops to 40 degrees in the winter, we wanted to buy a portable electric heater that would help keep the living room comfortable. This heater was chosen for two reasons: 1. Good reviews from Revain and 2. Relatively high rating from Consumer Reports. While CR didn't give it top marks, it was the best in its price range and also one of the quietest. After a month of use, here are our observations: Has two heat settings: High (1500W) and Low (probably around 600-750W, although the manual doesn't explicitly list the wattage). It can be set for direct heat in three different ways: full circle 360 degrees, 170 degrees and 90 degrees. . Since it will be used in a corner, we set it to 90 degrees. Also, these settings can be used in both high temperature mode and low temperature mode. If you want the heater to turn off automatically when it reaches a certain temperature, this only works with the high temperature setting. The low temperature setting shows you the current temperature in the room, but runs continuously until switched off. It doesn't turn off! There doesn't seem to be much of a difference in noise between high and low settings, although we turn the TV's volume up a bit when we turn on the heater. Heat exits the vent in a narrow band that begins 21.5 inches off the floor and ends 25 inches off the floor. The unit is very stable and unlikely to tip over unless there are small children or pets in the house (we don't have any but if we did we might consider buying a different type of heater) . In addition, we believe there is no risk of burns if you accidentally touch any part of the heater. Finally, the remote control is easy to use and has all the functions of the main unit. We are happy with our purchase and believe we made the right choice. If something happens in the future that changes our mind, we will update this review. We hope this information helps.
