Review on VILTROX 23mm f/1.4 X-Mount Lens - High-Aperture APS-C Auto-Focus Lens for Fujifilm X-Mount Cameras (X-T3, X-H1, X20, T30, X-T20, X-T100, X-Pro2) by George Bridgewater

A good budget lens, sharp for a solution.

This is the first prime lens I've ever bought and it's surprisingly good for photography. I don't know how it personally compares to the Fuji counterpart, but all the reviews I've seen say it's as good or better than it. For videos, leaving the camera on auto-iris is a bit annoying. or shutter speed because it's pretty noisy when switching. I also don't recommend this lens for video as you can see it ebb and flow as you transition from bright scenes to dark scenes and it doesn't feel like a smooth transition. Maybe they can fix it in a firmware update. For the price, however, this lens is excellent for the 23mm focal length and rivals the Fuji 23mm. For now I'd say buy it for stills but not video until they fix the aperture switching issues, otherwise stick to full manual.

Cons
