I can't think of what types of carpet it works well on, but I can't imagine it sticking well to carpets that don't already have an anti-corrosion glaze. - Glide pad I have several of these corners on another rug, but there is a velcro corner sewn on and the silicone pieces stick to the velcro on one side and the silicone sticks to the floor on the other. They work great in my linoleum kitchen. In my bedroom with a hardwood floor and no carpet backing, they just can't stick to the carpet well. They stick perfectly to the wooden floor and slide out on the carpet with minimal effort. I applied all 12 pieces plus 4 from another set so a total of 16 pieces scattered around the back of a small rug and that still couldn't stop it from shifting. I would reject this. Look for something that can be sewn onto real carpet.
