Review on Power Gear Tester 110V 125V 50957 by Anthony Mcgarry

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Does the job perfectly

This tester does exactly what it was designed to do. Contrary to some reviewers, I had no trouble reading the lights. The readings were what I expected, knowing my outlets were plugged in (and confirmed with a multimeter). the test button on this tester to turn off the outlet. This is not a product defect; Socket testers will only trip a GFCI socket if ground is connected. The test button *on the outlet* should always break the circuit if wired correctly. So if your GFCI is not grounded, you should only rely on the outlet's test button, not the tester's test button.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • No automatic controls
