Does what it's supposed to do
I have a Surface Go and the only port I can do anything with is USB-C. To work late, I wanted to use my monitor on your desk. So with this cable I can connect to USB C and use VGA for my old monitor or HDMI for my new monitor. lags etc. It's not the most durable looking device and it's likely to break if accidentally stepped on, but with the right care it should be fine. I can't say anything about the value because I got it for free to test. Therefore, you need to do your own price comparison and take a closer look at this aspect.
