Review on Exploring the Melissa & Doug Multi-Level Dollhouse Dollhouses: A Step-By-Step Tour! by Mike Wieneke

Terrible build. Screws do not stick, the siding cracked.

Update: My replacement unit arrived and also had screw problems. My husband drilled the holes at a different angle so the screws would line up better. It looks like the house could be better. The sides where the screws sit seem solid, but all of the center baffle parts are wobbly. I am planning to ask my husband to glue the ladder and interior walls with wood because I don't like that the ladder is not attached at all and I have a feeling it will be lost/break. Overall I can't say I love this house very much, but I like it enough to keep it after all the hardships we've been through. I can't say how it will hold up but it's very cute and I love this piece of furniture. I feel like there isn't a lot of furniture at the moment, a big house and how much space is in it, but hopefully it will look fuller when all her toys live there! I so badly want this dollhouse to work for us. It's amazing, the furniture looks very pretty and seems like it would be perfect for my daughter who really wants a dolls house for Christmas IF it fits! I am grateful that I ordered in advance and that we tried to assemble as quickly as possible to give me time to order replacements as all the other reviews have had screws not gripping and holes not lined up well, and the parts are cracked are 100% true. . I really hope this replacement works for us and I'll update my review if it works, but give yourself plenty of building time if giving it away to avoid disappointing the kids. The quality control of this product is questionable and there was damage to one of the parts of the window and part of the siding which I would have missed if the house could be assembled as it is a fairly cheap house. The furniture is really cute and it seems like a pretty good house if you buy a good one!
