Bought for Asami, my winter white dwarf hamster. She's not a hamster that bites, she's trying to escape. So I can't say much about durability when it comes to bites. However, she never made it. I bought it to carry around the house with me so she can sleep by my side. I didn't buy this to force her to travel outside the home. I think it's too small for something like this. But for my purposes, it's actually very cute and functional! It's very thick and durable. The material is like memory foam and quite soft. She falls asleep so easily! A lot of the comments say the band is cheap but I don't see it as a problem compared to other products (I think it's actually quite durable). All in all if you are looking for something to transport your hamster short distances this is great. It's a lot easier to bring them into the arena than to put them in a travel basket.
