Concerned about the screen

I really liked this device. We turned Surface into a real laptop that you can use on your lap without fear of falling. The keys have a pleasant feel and are backlit. The trackpad is easy to use but feels a little more responsive than usual. I made some adjustments to the settings and it got better. I wish the hinge mechanism wasn't so tight as it's difficult to open with one hand, but given the nature of it, it seems necessary to keep the surface open in almost any position. This brings me to the cons of this accessory, the hinge and how the surface is held in place. While it holds the surface well, it feels like it's squeezing the screen a bit. To the point where you can see the backlight escaping from the corners of the screen where the surface is held. This bothered me as I'm not sure if it will permanently damage the screen or worse, break the front glass. I contacted Brydge and they asked me to send them the device for review. They replaced it for me but I'm still seeing the same issues. As much as I loved the device, I returned it as my paranoia about damaging it was stronger.
