Review on πŸ’¦ Blue Silicon Power Armor A80 2TB Rugged Portable External Hard Drive - Waterproof USB 3.0 for PC, Mac, Xbox, and PS4 by Darrell Verduzco

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The device is water resistant and has been tested to withstand drops to concrete from up to 7 feet.

I received this product free of charge for review, but as always, although I received a free product, I am absolutely honest in my evaluation. My observations follow below in more or less chronological order. I was able to copy about 30GB to it in about 10 minutes for testing.* The device says it's shockproof. let's check it out! (All tests conducted with device landing on a corner)** 3 feet to carpet: PASS** 7 feet to carpet: PASS** 3 feet to tree: PASS** 7 feet to tree: PASS* The device says that it doesn't mind pressure outside. Let's stand it! **I put all of my 250 pounds in a heel on the body of this drive and it seemed pretty solid. I noticed that one of the plastic sides flexed a bit, but I don't know if that was during the drop tests or during the compression tests. Anyway, I was able to put it back in place with no problem. PASS** I didn't have an elephant as pictured on the cover, so I can't add anything to this series of tests.* The device says it's waterproof. Throw it in the sink! (Note that it has a rubber cover for the USB port. That worries me a bit.) **Water temp around 100F. Depth to top of unit: 2 inches. Total time underwater: 120 seconds. PASSEDA At the moment it's still running and serving files like a champ. Ran a windows error check and it came back clean. Now we're getting serious. Let's take it to the parking lot and do a concrete drop test.* Drop test round 2** From 3 feet onto concrete: PASS, the body is quite worn** From 7 feet onto concrete: PASS, it ended up being a drop test at the end the body is very worn. **Another scan of the disc showed no problems.** From 12 feet on concrete: FAIL, the case was cracked in the corner and the disc was unreadable. Please note that I ran this test three times and failed the third test. The device passed several tests without any problems until the required test became unrealistic. The unit's survivability exceeds the declared at least twice. PS: I hope my review was helpful. If not, please let me know what I've missed and what you would like to know. I'm always striving to get better.
