I recently bought 2 of these photo lights and I love them. I can't say anything about the video performance. This type of lighting for photography isn't necessarily new, but it's definitely not typical, so do a lot of research. I needed this style for f1.2-f2.8 wide angle shots and I just couldn't get that aperture with flash. The build quality of these lights and accessories is excellent even for the location. I was very interested in another brand, but after doing some research I couldn't justify spending $5,000 on the title. Also, I can't comment on the battery usage as I use a portable power source for positioning. For my typical setup I use two of these for backlighting along with two much smaller LEDs for padding if required. I shoot easily at 160, ISO 50 at 1.2-2.8 and just over half power at 4800k-5500k. Just make sure you do your research as I still think it's a very specific type of photography. I will continue to buy Falcon Eyes products in the future.
