Not super protective. If you want something protective, this is not for you.

When I bought it, I knew from the pictures that it wasn't great protection. I have a brand new Mac laptop in it and it's not soft at all. There is a velcro closure on the inside on one side which I was afraid would scratch the device...other than that the bag holds up pretty well. It was great to take everything with you, you just have to be careful not to bump into one or how you transport it. Good quality. You get what you pay for. If you want something protective, DO NOT BUY THIS.

Pros

Detachable and adjustable padded shoulder strap with 27" to 47" shoulder pad and two sturdy handles for comfortable carrying for long periods of time. The top handles can also be stowed in pockets when not in use. An additional zipper at the bottom of the bag can add up to 2.76 inches of depth if needed.
