Review on 🛠️ CTA Tools 1089 Fuel Pump Remover/Installer - Audi/Volkswagen Compatible by David Nelson

Needed to replace the fuel pump in a 4 cylinder 4WD VW Passat. I tried to remove the fuel pump by unscrewing it with my hands and couldn't get a hold of it without fear that the fuel pump would break leaving small bits of plastic at the bottom of the tank. While it's still difficult to get the right angle to insert the tool into the fuel tank, once using a 1/2" ratchet wrench freed the pump with no trouble. The same problem when installing a new pump. You will need this tool to hold the new fuel pump in place. It's a little pricey for a tool you'll likely only use once. Still, it's the right tool for the right job.
