Great idea, and a pen on a laptop like one I was really looking forward to having the iBook. The handle is connected to the bottom of the laptop but is not securely attached. . It's actually not recommended to use a pen because you can just hold an empty shell in your hands and cry over a broken computer. Both halves snap into place. The upper snaps in easier and is very, very tight. It's harder downstairs. The latches don't seem to be long enough to securely hook into the MacBook Air. They go out on their own. They come off when holding the laptop. They come off when the laptop stands still on its own. They just pop out. And they are very difficult to put back on. And without a reliable pen, the matter is almost meaningless. And with the case torn off, the case itself is meaningless. If you buy this, use the grip more like a stand to elevate your Macbook than the grip it was intended for.
