Wanted to love them, impossible to use

I planned on using these for Christmas lights. The design of these hooks are ideal because you can hammer them in, rather than drilling them in like some of the other light options. The design issue is the actual hook part, as you can't slide the lights easily onto the hooks into the loop. The plastic is not pliable so they don't bend or give at all. Being on a ladder and trying to maneuver makes them very dangerous to use. It appears like I can still return them but I don't know how I would be

Pros
  • Perfect but the hoop might be a bit too tight for thicker wires
Cons
  • Could potentially damage thin or delicate aluminum siding

Very durable, but a little bigger than I’d like

Used them to hang up Christmas lights along fence. A little bigger than I would have liked but I’m sure will hold up well. Clasp is very firm/tight so lights won’t fall out but a little bit of a pain to slip the light string into it. Nail/clasp very noticeable on fence alone (was hoping to leave them up all summer but will likely need to take them down).

Pros
  • Great for hanging lights
Cons
  • Hangers may not hold up well in high winds or extreme weather conditions

IF they were sharper

These are a great way to hang your lights outside.IF they were sharper I would have given them 5 stars. I had to pound them super hard to get them into the wood of my patio because they are dull on the tip. Other than that once I got them in the wood it was very easy to pull them open and insert the lighting cord.

Pros
  • these are tough sturdy light hangers.
Cons
  • They aren’t sharp enough to pound in... if you can get them into the wood they are great

Wroks good: my feedback

I used them to install my Christmas lights. They work great but are a bit stiff and hard to feed the light wires through. I had to use a flat screwdriver to spread them so I could feed the wire through. Not that big of a deal, where it does become a big deal is when I am up at the very top of the ladder and using both hands trying to feed the wire through. It can be a bit unstable.

Pros
  • Good solid product, exactly what I needed to hang our patio lights
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use on older or historic homes

Too tight for lights

It was really hard to get the Christmas light cords in. It is February and I still haven’t taken the lights down because I know it will be a pain. However, they are sturdy, even in very strong winds

Pros
  • Sturdy and easy to install. Great purchase!
Cons
  • May be difficult for those with limited mobility or disabilities

Probably Fine on my review.

So, I’m probably just weak but these seemed so thick I could not hammer them into the beams. In another circumstance they would probably be great.

Pros
  • Stronger and much better quality than anticipated.
Cons
  • Can only be used on certain types of surfaces

Easy to use! best in my review

We ordered these to hang lights around our patio deck railing. They were easy to hammer in and string the lights through. The black material covering the nail is very sturdy. I would highly recommend these.

Pros
  • Nails very easy to use and easy to install. Plastic hard to install but very sturdy.
Cons
  • Hooks may not be sturdy enough for heavy-duty or commercial-grade lighting

Good product but not easy to use

These are a very sturdy product; however, I would not recommend with Christmas lights. When you nail them in they are too close to the wood (in my case), so I couldn’t put the wire into the clip. So unfortunately, I can not use them for this purpose.

Pros
  • You can nail these right into wood, used them to hang string lights around my deck.
Cons
  • Hooks may rust or corrode over time

If installing on the edge of something, they can be tricky.

I used them to install lights around my dock. Not easy to nail upwards on a header board. Would be easier to install on wall. Great strength of product and holding up well in weather. Great overall a purchase!

Pros
  • Love the design and very sturdy
Cons
  • Too big and not useful for what we need. Missed the return window. Now just in the junk pile.

Complete waste of money

The shape of the nail head makes it almost impossible to hammer into wood, even soft wood. When I saw them I thought my quest for Christmas light hangers was over but that is not the case.Do not buy.

Pros
  • Perfect for hanging patio lights!
Cons
  • May not be easily adjustable once lights are hung

Great for hanging lights

These were perfect for hanging our outdoor lights on our deck. We live in Florida and get a lot of rain and humidity and so far they have held up wonderfully.

Pros
  • easy to install and a great product.
Cons
  • Could be difficult to remove without causing damage to the surface

Not Stucco - my new review

These do not go into stucco. Bent two of them right over in one hammer hit. You would have to pre-drill the holes to nail these into.

Pros
  • Works great
Cons
  • Hooks may not be strong enough to hold up over time

Awesomeness good for me

Perfect for hanging outdoor lights on a wood pergola! I suggest attaching the hook to the cord first before installing.

Pros
  • Easy to installUsed for outdoor solar lights along a fence
Cons
  • Hooks may become tangled or disorganized during storage

What I was looking for

These hangers were the closet to the old ones I used long ago. They were easy to hammer in and sturdy enough to hold the Christmas garland. I'm very glad I made this purchase.

Pros
  • Worked great
Cons
  • Can only be used in certain climates or temperatures

Really hard to install

I bought these to hang up my Christmas lights and I couldn't even get one hammered into the baseboard. They are way too thick and need a hold drilled first to get them in. I just wanted a nail with a hook to easily go into wood to hang up my Christmas Lights.

Pros
  • Perfect product
Cons
  • Requires proper knowledge of weight capacity and proper placement to avoid accidents

Great little holder

Used these for Halloween lights, sturdy enough for Christmas and many more holidays. I recommend you Preston, especially in wood and cement board.

Pros
  • Bought for hanging holiday decorations on fence. These hammered in easily and have held up well so far.
Cons
  • Requires a certain level of physical skill and strength to install

Seleware 20 pcs Q-Hanger

A friend bought these so she could somewhere to feed her wild birds. She also wanted use these for other items but I do not know why.

Pros
  • Time-Saving: SELEWARE'S 60-Piece Q-Hanger Kit is the perfect solution for those who want to save time and effort during the holiday season. With these easy-release hooks, hanging Christmas lights is a breeze, allowing you to spend more time enjoying the festive spirit with your loved ones
Cons
  • Could potentially create a mess if hooks accidentally come loose and cause lights to fall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for hanging decorations

These hooks are awesome for outdoor decorations. I bought these after our Halloween lights were blown down by some strong wind that we were having. These were much sturdier than our previous hooks and are great quality for the price. I do wish they were just a tiny bit smaller or adjustable as they stick out quite a bit but otherwise these hooks are great and do the job well!

Pros
  • They are well made
Cons
  • They don’t even stay in the wall, they fall right out

Revainrating 3 out of 5

not easy to use good for me

mine was a screw, not a nail.it was difficult to remove from the holder. installation was okay, but had to drill the same size hole, or screwing in was a pain.had to use needle nose pliers to bend back hook to hold the wire. there is no room once hook is screwed in.I probably should have bought a different item for a $1 more.

Pros
  • sturdy and does the job well
Cons
  • May not work well with thicker or heavier strands of lights

Excellent and sturdy

Use these to hang the porch lights on our deck surrounding our Airbnb property. They were easy to nail into the log siding and have held up really well. I feel like it has heavy duty plastic and the nail is plenty strong enough to use good force with the hammer.

Pros
  • Love this item! Perfect for our family.
Cons
  • May be too time-consuming for large or elaborate holiday displays
