This is a great little machine

This machine performs very well for its price range. It's easy to use and delivers great results. This machine is NOT loud as some reviewers claim. They apparently only had coffee machines for comparison. (You just can't compare a coffee maker to an espresso machine!) This machine is MUCH quieter than my Gaggia espresso maker, which cost me 6 times the dollar. The temperature of the espresso measured at the outlet of the outlet is 172 degrees. That's the only downside to this machine. The ideal temperature for extraction is 190. However, I don't think this affects the taste. Espresso is not bitter at all and produces a nice thick foam. I preheat my cup, which helps keep the espresso at a good drinking temperature. I also read reviews that said the process of making espresso with this machine was very messy. I'm not entirely sure why anyone would say that. It works just like most espresso machines. Yes, you have to remove the port filter holding the grounds and pour it down the sink, but don't all coffee/espresso machines have to do that? (if you don't like K-cups) I don't use the K-cup feature because I like strong espresso. I really like being able to use my own coffee grounds for two reasons: it's a lot more economical, and as mentioned before, using my own coffee is a much stronger drink than using k-cups. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. . I appreciate the small footprint of this machine as I will be using it in an RV where desk space is very limited. If you prefer a latte to a simple espresso, getting a frother for this machine is pretty easy. Blowers are cheap and work great. Before I bought the Gaggia, I had several $100 espresso makers with a frothing tube. It is impossible to compare them with this much more advanced model. This espresso machine came with: a measuring spoon and a tamper, adapters for 3 different K-cup styles, a port filter for using your own ground espresso, and an instruction manual.
