Review on AOC C32G2ZE Frameless 31.5" Curved Gaming Monitor with Blue Light Filter, Anti-Glare Coating – G Series Reborn by Sean Taylor

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This is a descent monitor, not great, AOC customer service is bad

This is my first curved monitor and as I wear reading glasses it took me a while to get used to it. For a while my peripheral vision was a bit disturbing. The monitor has the most important controls, from the power button to the settings, all located at the bottom right and easier to see with a flashlight. The controls are not very adjustable, but it is enough for comfortable use.. I had a problem during the game (keyword "During the game"), the monitor freezes, it goes black and the power indicator goes out. I heard the game was still running so I knew it wasn't my computer. It restarted and I continued playing. Then it collapsed again 2 more times in about an hour. I stopped playing so I turned it off for the night. The next morning I found and contacted AOC with a support ticket dated 9 Aug 22 .it's 13 Aug 22 and I still haven't received a response. I told what happened and asked if I should have a monitor with certain settings for gaming, that's all I asked. I also listed what computer I have and it used the GeForce graphics card it was made for. After those three falls, he didn't do it again, but I didn't play much. It seems only suitable for standard web, video and business purposes. When I receive a response to this support request I will update this review. A review by Michael Burgess on 9 Jan 22 states that he went to the UFO test to check the refresh rate. Basically it confirms that you get what you pay for, this is not a high end platform. **UPDATE September 4th** So I finally got an answer on August 19th when Revain's return policy had expired. However, the respondent was very helpful. They even sent me an instruction manual that wasn't in the box. But even though I tried resetting it and using different settings, it crashed again and I requested an RMA. Well here we are again, 6 days have passed and they didn't even tell me if they would replace it, fix it or give me a refund? *NOTE* I also downgraded my rating. *Now that AOC was reluctant to reply to me, I contacted Revain who removed the "No returns in 15 days" notice. They quickly asked what I would like to do, I said an exchange would be ok and they brought me a new one the next day. I returned the second one last night. Ironically, AOC contacts me the next day and tells me I didn't provide all the required information. I told them it was me and it was right there on the tape and I told them Revane took care of it yesterday. The new monitor has much better colors even without any adjustments, now I'll see if this one isn't faulty. I hope all I got was just a bad device?
