Review on ๐Ÿต Sweese 6202 Porcelain Mugs Assorted: Stylish and Durable Drinkware for Every Occasion by Joe Patterson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Updated: Sweese went through

Updated: Sweese immediately responded to my review and sent me a copy of a report from Veritas Bureau, an international testing company headquartered in Switzerland, showing the ceramic was tested for lead and cadmium. I am very satisfied because I can use my 6 cups again with confidence and joy. Many Thanks. I upped the stars from 2 to 5 because I really like the design and feel of these mugs. They are nice and big, but still elegant. And now I can be sure of their safety, too. First Review: The Sweese mugs are said to be lead-free, which is why I ordered them first. I liked the first set of mugs I received so much that I ordered the bowls, butter drainer and (possibly) an additional set of mugs. The cups are beautiful, large, colorful - satisfied. But 5 of the second set of 6 colored mugs I received didn't have the Sweese logo and the white mug was slightly smaller and lighter weight than the others. The seller responded quickly and politely, saying it was Sweese, just unbranded because some buyers only want white mugs (which made absolutely no sense because 4 of the 5 colored mugs in the set didn't have a logo either). I was offered a 50% discount. I then emailed Sweese (who provide no supporting information about their "FDA-approved" ceramics) asking if they'd ever made mugs without a logo, but received no response. Lost trust in both the seller and Sweese. They brought back unbranded mugs and are now using Sweese brand crockery they used to buy with less joy and confidence.

Pros
  • multipurpose - perfect for coffee, tea, cocoa and cereal. Cute and colorful, add bright colors to the kitchen. The mug set is really good to warm up your home. Plus, it's perfect for greeting guests, making it easy for guests to keep track of which mug is theirs.
