The Columbia backpack hits the spot. I doubt it will fit any more than weekend wear. All buckles are plastic which makes it look more like a toy than a real backpack. As one reviewer noted, it will take some time to set up. When I first put it on, I had concerns about the height of the chest strap. It was almost on my chin. I didn't realize at the time that the harness connector has sliders that allow you to adjust it to your actual chest. With that in mind, the sides of the bag are also kept closed, but by undoing those plastic latches you can open the bag up for more storage. Even the shoulder straps have a rubber-plastic feel. Presumably the same material on the back gives the wearer a better feel. Only time can tell. The two water bottle pockets are actually deep enough to carry my Polar Bottle Insulated water bottle, but when I'm carrying two bottles, the left one falls down and gets in the way of my swing. necessary, I will update this assessment in the future.
