Fake in every way

Garmin makes good GPS navigators but with one serious drawback: batteries and performance in general. Don't try to keep a travel journal, it might not bother you too much. Battery life is decent, but if you use GPS as much as I do, you'll be using a lot. no gaps where the GPS is dead and you don't notice for an hour) you will be very disappointed in Garmin. And this battery is just rubbing salt in the wound. First, most (if not all) modern Garmin GPS navigators turn off automatically when you disconnect power. That is, if you want to be sure you have a complete log of your hike/bike/etc. to have, you need enough battery power for the entire trip. If you try to plug the GPS into a power source and the plug is accidentally unplugged, your recording will be interrupted. The same situation when the batteries were not fully charged to start and died halfway. A good option would be to be able to use rechargeable batteries, plug in the device to charge before the trip and be sure that it works all the time. Time. However: a) You can only charge this official Garmin "battery” inside; all other batteries must be removed and charged in a separate charger; and b) those are pretty crappy batteries; They don't have much starting ability and they don't last long before losing most of their charge. And the real salt in the wound is that Gamine will completely hollow you out of those poor quality rechargeable batteries. They are much more expensive than regular AA batteries and their performance is much worse. If I could at least use good rechargeable batteries and charge internally I would be much happier. This seems like a very obvious ploy by Garmin to try to squeeze more money out of their customers by basically getting customers to pay extra for the privilege of dealing with Garmin's poor design choices in the GPS units themselves will. And worse, it's not even a good battery. If this were a top-of-the-line battery, I could justify it as "Apple Premium" - you have to pay more for official accessories, but at least you get something good for your money. than standard AA batteries and their performance is much worse.
