The smoke flavor is the best in drink serving utensils

I really want to love this because it's beautiful but I washed it with hot water and a sponge, rinsed very well and filled with water. I immediately felt that the taste was gone. After a few hours I added it to my tea and it seemed like I was drinking color. I'm really concerned that it's food safe. Everyone thinks it's plastic, but it rattles a bit, so I think it's a special type of thin safety glass.
