I loved this story based on a woman who met Jesus at a well. I think many of us who don't know all the facts could be wrong in our assessment. It's the same with Roxy, the young woman we meet in this book. To be loved for who she is, Rosie meets and marries five different men. The end of every marriage only reinforces Roxy's belief that something must be wrong with her. And the lies and judgments of those in their world just keep piling up. But every relationship teaches you a little more about yourself and the world, and it grows a little more. It takes a meeting with a wise man to show her that she is loved beyond measure by the one who really matters. I loved Roxy, who continued to love despite her broken heart. The author sharply shows us his gradual growth throughout history. The characters are real, not embellished. They give us a glimpse into the hearts of people who don't always make the right choices, even when they follow their heart. And how easy it is sometimes to find forgiveness for others without finding it for ourselves, until we meet someone who shows us how. I received a copy of this book as a member of the launch team. These are my honest thoughts and opinions.
