Works perfectly, powers the iPad and also has a standard USB connector which can be used for various purposes such as connecting my iPad to my DAC to play high resolution audio. While it worked (i.e. it sent the audio to my DAC and my DAC played it back), the sound quality seemed far from outstanding. The bass in particular sounded loose and a bit grainy at high frequencies. I think you need to buy a genuine version of this device from Apple if you plan to use it for high-resolution audio.
