These socks are an amazing bargain. You can't beat the price. A pair of designer black socks can easily cost as much as five pairs. So they are economical. In terms of fit, I'm a woman who wears size 5.5-6 shoes and I found my feet to be too big in these socks (I ordered women's S/M). The leg part fits well. They were pretty easy to put on (real compression stockings aren't), but I noticed that they offer some support in the shin area, which is good. I was hoping for a compression effect around the toes but the socks were pretty loose in that area so it can't be otherwise. All in all, these aren't true compression socks, but not bad for what we call "support socks".
