The paint peeled off immediately

I really wanted these elongated knobbed eyes for my truck. When I received them they looked amazing with a beautiful glossy finish. Then when I put them on the truck with a ratchet instead of an air gun, they started chipping with little effort. Also, they work great as long as the steering wheel holds up.
