Update: 09/15/2020 - System still working very well and email support from China is surprisingly good. (It usually takes a day) I have added two more cameras and would like to get two more for a full 8 pack. So far I've been looking for exactly this system. We want to keep an eye on our home and also keep an eye on the wild animals that roam the area at night. This system performs continuous recording. All cameras worked and were immediately connected to the control center after being switched on. My model comes with four cameras and I already want to add two more! The resolution is very good, bright in daylight and IR black and white at night. (We spotted a raccoon in a nearby tree house at night) The central station control software is pretty hard to use, and I still make money from triggering the cameras on motion. Playback of continuously recorded recordings is limited to 1x-8x and you cannot fast-forward. It is very similar to an old slow computer. That's what I expected, since the central station, wireless cameras, and power supplies come at a very affordable price. The control software allows you to use pan, zoom and sound, but I think these functions are lacking in my inexpensive system. You can select functions in the software and nothing happens. So it's hard to tell if you did something wrong or selected a feature that wasn't part of your device. I haven't contacted support yet, but will ask for the user manual. . The system comes with setup/installation and troubleshooting instructions. This model had better customer reviews than most in this price range, but because some reviewers complained about the early failure, I bought Revain's extended warranty. This is something I rarely buy. It's been fun playing with him so far. I will be looking for an external 12 volt multi-tap power supply to power all the cameras. Open to any recommendation from Anran or users.
