Although this thermostat looks sturdy from the outside, it didn't have the right vent in the right place and there was also an elongated narrowing in the ledge in the tube. Sloppy production. I just received the Stant thermostat and it is 100% better designed. The only thing about this tstat is that it opened in boiling water as it should.
