5/16 threads not standard
I used these to build a ski rack for my car. They work well and hold just fine but the 5/16” threaded inserts are not quite right. Very hard to screw a 5/16 bolt into the threads. I had to insert and remove and insert and remove the bolts until I could fully seat the bolts. Something else with 1/4” threads might be better.
- Great product, does the job well and it's exactly what I wanted to use.
- The mounting tool can be cumbersome to carry around, taking up valuable space in photography equipment bags
