Bluetooth is terrible, the button layout is also not good

I bought this to make my car safer. The device I already had was almost impossible to read during the day and had small readings that were quite dim (making it difficult to read during the day). This mostly works. unless you allow your Bluetooth device to be more than 4 feet away. I'm not even joking. I can't even carry my phone in my left pocket and lift my foot to a different position while driving because apparently my foot is enough to completely block the signal between the phone and the head unit. I haven't even gotten my adamantium skeleton upgrade yet! This is disappointing to say the least because I did a lot of research before buying. This allows you to connect up to 3 devices at the same time and easily switch between them. You can listen to music from phone #1 and receive a call from phone #2, hang up and go back to the music. The sound quality is just great, it really has more to do with your speakers than your main unit. but that will drive them well. As for the night, it's very bright until you turn off the display, which is easy, especially when you're trying to skip to the next song. The keys aren't well spaced as they use a piece of plastic to cover three keys so there aren't any gaps between them. While it looks cool, smooth and shiny. it forces you to say exactly what you want to do so you don't have to do anything else. They give you a USB extender for the back. This is great because I have so many exposed USB ports on my 2005 Xterra that I just plug it in without even cutting through the dash, it doesn't look like there is room on the FRONT of the unit for a USB Plug. to my last point. Communication with Android is AMAZING. if you have an iphone To use "Integration" with Android you need to download the Pioneer app which has NO development or support and can only run programs in the app. none of them actually work usefully. However, the app will notify you of future updates coming two years ago, so that's nice. I still have to control EVERYTHING with my phone. Sometimes it lets you skip to the next song, but other times it decides to just stop playing music. (Oh, and I KNOW my phone isn't obsolete. I have the latest and greatest Google iPhone X. I mean the Pixel 3. They absolutely did NOT get most of their ideas from Apple. But that's another review.) The irony is in the cheek. In addition, it fulfills its main function: tell me what time it is. Plays music via Bluetooth. Plays CDs. Plays DVDs. Plays the radio. Updates to my newest head unit, which was also a Pioneer, in addition to better screen visibility and a DVD player. especially when stepping back into bluetooth range (my last one worked about 30-50ft from the car). I'll have to choose a different brand next time. I heard Kenwood is good.
