I know it's not technically a successor to Wave Sky 2 but for me it is. I've been wearing the Wave Sky 2 on all my outings for over 2 years now. I go through a couple of them about every 2 months (325 miles or so) before they stop supporting enough to keep using them. But WS2 is harder to find now that it's two generations old. I don't want to pay a high price for these shoes. I decided to try the Rider 23 as a backup and am happy so far (75 miles on the first pair). There is usually one color that is cheaper than others that is great for my needs. The Rider 23 is lighter, true to size, and has the same width and toe box as the Wave Sky 2. They're a little less comfortable to wear due to the side seam that I can feel on the Rider 23, but they're not. gave me no trouble. In terms of stability, the Wave Sky 2 could be a bit wider in the heel and more roll stable, but that doesn't make a huge difference. Overall great shoes.
