By nature, anything but an ips panel isn't as sharp as it deals with sub-pixel backlighting. I didn't know much about monitors before. and I didn't think I cared that much about image quality. I was wrong, I couldn't handle blurry text. There is a glow or blur around the text. I can see the pixels well on my 1080p IPS monitor and the text isn't very sharp, but it's not glowing, fuzzy, or blurry. i have to return it I played better with a 144Hz refresh rate, didn't realize why, but I did. Less frustration about death. Build quality is excellent, I liked the slight flex but you would definitely like it more if it was wider. Colors are ok and borderless is great. Actually, I found it too bright and gray for some games. The stand is also sturdy and I like the adjustable stand way more than I think I need or want. Based on IPS, I find the response time to be excellent. I don't have any noticeable input lag or similar noticeable problems. I ordered a flat 24" IPS 144hz and prefer 1080 for gaming as it's less GPU and CPU intensive. In fact I get 144hz at 1080p. This monitor was also very easy to install and assemble.
