Review on AOC C24G1: Ultra-Smooth 144Hz Frameless DisplayPort Monitor with Height, Pivot, and Tilt Adjustments by Matt Zhou

This build quality is incredible

I have 2 of these monitors, they look great, I don't think I can see a real difference between 144 and 60Hz but I can see a difference in input lag using this instead of the TV I was using , it made a difference between Super Mario Bros (1985) being playable and not. The free sync was buggy for me on Linux Xubuntu 18.04 (April 2019), unusable with 2 displays connected to GTX 1060 3GB (the free sync can only work in 1 monitor settings but when it is off it should they work) when the framerate drops by 40 to 60 the screen goes blank and the configuration resets on both displays. With 1 display it works incorrectly. I couldn't reproduce some/all of it on Manjaro Linux (Manjaro stays at the forefront of software so it gets newer stuff). The free sync works fine on Windows, you may experience a little flickering when loading screens, as far as I know this is normal for VA panels. From what I can see, FLC is much more aggressive on Windows than on Linux. This panel supports 48-144Hz, but on Windows it seems to run LFC at 60Hz, avoiding the problem I had on Linux. I don't have an AMD GPU h To test this, only GTX 1060 3GB, I believe I was using one of the first of several drivers that support Freesync on nvidia, so there may have been changes in the last 4 months. I highly recommend reviewing this product on pcmonitor.info, this review will help you much more than any review on Amazon, they even have a calibration file for this monitor. The build quality is insanely good, it was able to withstand the shock. The transport made a hole in the screen and it didn't take any damage, it just left a trace of the bag protecting the screen, which was duly wiped. My neighbor signed for this package as I wasn't home at the time and I didn't look at the other side of the package if I had only seen it I wouldn't have accepted it but it was too late for that so i asked the seller (E-Center USA) what they wanted to do so i opened it up and checked and to my surprise it wasn't really damaged, the only thing on the screen was the remains of a smooth plastic bag, which protects the screen from scratches, the screen was not damaged although something made a hole in said pocket.
